Dr. Surawicz is Chief of Gastroenterology at Harborview Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at the University  of Washington School of Medicine. Her presentation at the American College of Gastroenterology’s 2012 Annual Scientific Meeting in Las Vegas focused on an organized approach to the evaluation and management of patients with diarrhea.

We sent stool for O and P, e-coli, campylobacter, salmonella.
CBC with Diff, lytes,
HIV testing in process

35 year old male with painless, watery diarrhea for one month, 25 pound wt loss in past 3 months-but he was trying to lose wt. No travel outside of country. 2/3 Heme pos stool cards.
