Poll: Which Presidential Candidate's Health Care Plan Do You Support?

Neither, they are both horrible, and both unconstitutional (for good reason). Out of all of my patients, the ones who end up in the best shape after the bill is settled are the ones who purchase inexpensive catastrophic-only insurance, then put all the money they saved into a health-share. They get exactly the care that they want and need, and the provider actually gets paid for their services. If anything serious happens, it will be covered under the catastrophic. I bet that no matter which of those clowns gets into office next, they will consider that kind of excellent coverage to be "inadequate"and penalize the patients who use it. (Write that down, so I can say "I told you so" later. Thanks.)

The Affordable Health Act, inspite of it's limitations, attempts to prvide healthcare coverage for all Americans. It comes close to recognizing that health care is a right that every citizen of a modern demacracy should expect from their government. Mitt Romney has no plan that pays any respect to this fundamental right. Under Romney millions of Americans will continue to be uncovered and this will have disasterous consequences for the individuals themselves and socity at large. President Obama's plan is clearly superior to what Romney is offering,

The federal Government has no right under the US Constitution to mandate anything to the people.
The States actually do have that right, under the 10th amendment.
If an individual state wanted to force all of their citizens to participate in a program, that would make a good experiment. In fact, Vermont is undertaking that approach in Universal Healthcare. Massachusetts did the same but it has not worked well due to ballooning costs. I anticipate same or worse outcome on a national scale.

I prefer a universal payer system, basically Medicare for all. We don't have that Affordable Care Act, but it's a step in the right direction. I wan health insurance companies to go away for the average person. They can make money selling insurance for elective vanity surgeries.
