Welcome to Relatable Rheumatology: From Stories to Studies, presented by HCPLive Rheumatology. Our latest multimedia offering, Relatable Rheumatology: From Stories to Studies, was created with a mission of exploring the personal experiences of people living with rheumatic diseases and the latest research evidence that informs their diagnosis and treatment.
Hosted by W Benjamin Nowell, PhD, MSW, director of Patient-Centered Research at the Global Healthy Living Foundation and CreakyJoints, and Shilpa Venkatachalam, PhD, MPH, director of Patient-Centered Research Operations and Ethical Oversight and co-principal investigator of CreakyJoints “ArthritisPower,” the podcast will provide both a clinician and patient perspective on the latest evidence and clinical trial insights in rheumatology.
In this podcast, patients are invited to share a question or concern that they may have encountered during their journey, and experts in relevant fields provide detailed explanations of research evidence or clinical practice experience that can help answer and address patient concerns and question.
“We aim to bridge the gap between patient experience, research and clinical practice by providing accessible and relevant information that can inform patients and healthcare providers alike,” Venkatachalam emphasized.
Stay tuned for the first episode, where our hosts explore patient-reported outcomes and how this measure helps to communicate what matters most to those who live with rheumatic disease to create a treatment plan that works for them.
The podcast is a co-production by the Global Healthy Living Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with chronic illnesses, and HCPLive.
